HEARTLAND FILM FESTIVAL AND RILEY HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN PARTNER FOR THE KIDS
5/11/2005

A first-time partnership between Heartland Film Festival® and Riley Hospital for Children will bring entertainment and hope to hospitalized Hoosier children.  In cooperation with film distributors from across the nation, Heartland is presenting Riley Hospital for Children with dozens of feature-length and short films for Riley patients and their families.  These Truly Moving PicturesSM will be formally presented during a celebration in the hospital atrium on Monday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m.

Indy Racing League driver Ed Carpenter, a long-time supporter of Riley Hospital and Heartland Film Festival, will join the festivities with his race car, visiting patients and their families.  An afternoon movie premiere party will feature four short Heartland films, “John Henry,” “Little Red Plane,” “Puppies for Sale” and “Monty.”

Other Heartland films will be viewed by patients and families throughout the year.  The collection will include the award-winning films, “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town,” “Let Go” and “ChestNut.”  The films will be shown in patients’ rooms via the closed-circuit television program, funded by the Riley Children's Foundation.  For more information, click on Heartland's official press release.

BREAKING NEWS - VISION RACING DRIVES TRULY MOVING PICTURES
3/17/2005

Team owner Tony George announced today that Vision Racing, LLC will carry the URL www.TrulyMovingPictures.org on the 20/20 cars for the IndyCar Series and Menards Infiniti Pro Series opening races as a way to promote the Indianapolis, Indiana-based Heartland Film Festival®.

Vision Racing will visibly support Truly Moving PicturesSM in the hope of driving consumers to the new Web site. The arrangement stems from Tony and Laura George’s ongoing relationship with the non-profit organization, which was established in 1991 to honor films that enrich and inspire lives and the visionaries behind them.

Heartland created the www.TrulyMovingPictures.org site to help moviegoers around the world find information about Truly Moving Pictures more quickly and efficiently. The site provides users with an overview of Truly Moving Pictures available to the public, interviews with stars and filmmakers, and an opportunity to nominate a Truly Moving Picture for consideration. Visitors can also sign up to receive email updates or view Heartland’s list of Truly Moving Pictures. The Web site is part of Heartland’s continuing effort to showcase films that offer heartfelt visions of life and to make those films more accessible to consumers.  For more information, click on Heartland's official press release.
