2006 CALL FOR ENTRIES OFFICIALLY OPEN

Heartland is now accepting entries for the 15th Annual Heartland Film Festival. The early bird deadline is April 15 and the regular deadline will be May 31. A late deadline of June 15 will only apply to those who enter films through Withoutabox.com. Selected films will be announced on September 7, 2006.

The Heartland Film Festival is doubling its cash prize to $200,000 in 2006, and will award a

$100,000 Grand Prize for Best Dramatic Feature, $25,000 for Best Documentary Feature and $10,000 for Best Short Film. Crystal Heart Awards and cash prizes are given to feature length and short film entries in dramatic, documentary and animation categories. Student filmmakers receive the Jimmy Stewart Memorial Crystal Heart Award and a cash prize.
