When London enters World War I, five adventurous brothers and sisters are sent to stay with their eccentric uncle (Kenneth Branagh, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Hamlet) in the country. The prospect looks dim, until young Robert (Freddie Highmore, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland) discovers a secret door that leads to a beach and an irritable old sand fairy who will grant one wish a day. Based on the book by E. Nesbit, this Jim Henson Company production will entertain kids and adults alike with its humorous characters and “be careful what you wish for” moral.

James D. Stern is an award-winning producer and director of theater and film. Currently he is the CEO of Endgame Entertainment, an equity production fund investing in various entertainment entities. On Broadway, Stern produced such hits as The Producers, Hairspray and Stomp. At Endgame Entertainment, Stern produced and financed films including the Academy Award®-nominated Hotel Rwanda, Stage Beauty, Beyond the Sea, White Noise, Proof and Five Children and It, among others. An avid basketball fan, Stern is also an owner of the Chicago Bulls. Stern attended the University of Michigan and earned an M.B.A. from Columbia University in New York.
