Owen Carey Jones was born in 1949 in Belize and grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. Emergency heart surgery in 1994 put an end to his career as a banker and in 2000, he graduated from the Northern Film School in Leeds, UK. In 1999, Jones established Carey Films Ltd. with the specific aim of making low budget independent British feature films and Baby Blues, his debut feature film, has now been seen by audiences of more than 35 million people. Jones’ second feature, A Mind of Her Own, is currently being submitted to film festivals prior to being released in the Spring of 2006.

Nicky Talacko was born in Bletchley, England. After an early childhood spent in Sweden, her family moved to Melbourne, Australia. After university, Talacko traveled to London and attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. After graduating, she appeared in many stage productions in London, but is probably best remembered as Kelly Hurst from the soap Family Affairs, in which she starred for two years. Talacko also played the lead roles in the feature film Baby Blues. Recently she decided to return to Melbourne and has just completed roles in the Australian productions Blue Heelers and MDA.
